Summer Campership Program

The Summer Camp scholarships are awarded to parents to give their students with special needs an opportunity to continue learning through instructional support programs in an associated recreational experience. Average grant amounts are up to $300 or the cost of the camp, whichever amount is less.

To be eligible for a Summer Campership, the following criteria must be met:

  • Parents applying for camp scholarships for their children must be eligible for “free and reduced price meals” from their resident school district. The school building principal’s authorizing signature is required on the grant application to verify that the parent meets this eligibility criteria.
  • Eligible applications are children and youth with special needs between 3 and 20 years of age, having an active special education individualized educational plan (IEP).
