Communications Division
The Communications Division is responsible for internal and external communications to promote and support the diverse services and goals of the intermediate unit. The Communications staff assists with the communication needs of all nine divisions of the IU and can be contacted for more information about services, activities or events provided by each. All media inquiries related to the MCIU are managed by the Communications Division.
The Communications Division is also available on a contractual basis to assist constituent school districts and non-public schools in developing and implementing strategies designed to enhance communications with their target audiences, including staff, parents, students, community members, legislators, etc. The division’s expertise in communications can help schools strengthen partnerships with the community, improve relationships among staff, and support student achievement through customized, coordinated and proactive public relations activities. |

• Organizational branding
• Development of collateral materials (i.e. newsletters, brochures, etc.)
• Special events
• Web design and content development
• Media relations
• Referendum planning
• Crisis communications
