Response to Intervention (RtI)
The Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development Division is available to assist/support the implementation of RtI. RtI is the practice of providing high-quality instruction and intervention matched to student need, monitoring progress frequently to make decisions about change in instruction or goals, and applying child response data to important educational decisions. (NASDSE, 2005)

RtI Consortium
- Building or district level teams meet four times per year to develop a plan to implement RtI
- Sessions are designed to provide information and will also have built in processing/planning time
- Teams are supported by a designated MCIU liaison to provide guidance and make connections to appropriate contacts
- Fee for service option

Workshops
- A schedule of workshops is designed to provide information regarding the five “big ideas” related to RtI in a traditional workshop format
- Most workshops will be held at MCIU
- Included in the tentative schedule of offerings is Dr. Mike Rettig (scheduling), DIBELS/AIMS Web specific training, and a vendor fair for research-based programs and interventions
- Fee for service option

Network Meetings
- Service offered to districts/buildings at any level of implementation of RtI
- Offered four times per year, half-day sessions
- Each session will be based on specific topic(s) to focus the dialogue
- Free to Montgomery districts/schools
|
On-Site Professional Development/Training
- Offered to assist districts/buildings in planning and training needs that are specific and delivered on-site
- Available to districts/buildings at any stage of implementation
- Fee for service option
