Student Events

To encourage student excellence, MCIU is host to several regional events and competitions that move students forward to state and national recognition. Open to public and non-public school students.

These events include the:

• Reading Olympics - For the past eleven years MCIU has sponsored this event which has grown from 87 teams in 1998 to over 500 teams in 2010 serving approximately 8,000 students.

• MCIU Computer Fair which advances winners to the PA State Computer Fair

• Academic Competition, advancing winners to the Annual PA Academic Competition, which leads to nationals at the Panasonic Academic Challenge in Disney World
