Differentiated Instruction (DI)

With increased accountability for all children's academic success and the growing diversity of students, learning differentiated instruction techniques has become a priority for many educators. The Differentiated Instruction Academies provide participants with a thorough understanding of the theory and research behind differentiated instruction as well as practical application options they can use in training and coaching professional staff. Topics include defining the terminology, the implications of brain compatible instruction and student motivation research, managing the differentiated classroom, an in-depth look at various models of differentiation, assessment, and more.   Many "why" and "how to" issues are addressed. These highly interactive workshops are structured so that participants learn about differentiation while experiencing the techniques personally. To register for the next Academy or to see when the next training is scheduled please visit the MCIU Professional Learning Catalog or MCIU Online Registration System.
