Selecting a new school district leader is one of the most important decisions a school board will probably ever make. As a commissioned officer, the superintendent interacts regularly with the school board and other school district stakeholders, assists with the daily operations of the school district, has significant responsibility for the education program, and is accountable for the school district’s results.
MCIU is pleased to offer this service to school boards. The MCIU executive director will work with school board members to conduct a customized search for a new superintendent. The search process includes thoughtful planning and goal setting, a sound recruitment plan, a thorough review process, intensive selection activities, and effective communication of the results.
Throughout the search process, MCIU will work closely with the board of directors and will maintain strict confidentiality and a high level of professionalism. All materials produced and all communications will be high quality. Most importantly, MCIU will conducts extensive research into applicants’ qualifications and experiences, however, the selection of the successful candidate is solely the decision of the board of directors of school district
